Happy New Year
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Christmas Day. I had a wonderful time and have to confess that I ate too much at two buffets today.
Christmas Eve I attended the annual Candlelight Service at Unity of Chattanooga. This morning it was back to UOC for the Christmas Day brunch. Then a friend treated me to a fabulous buffet up on the Bluff this afternoon. I ate way too much but it’s Christmas and I can get back to more sensible eating next week or perhaps next year.
The Candlelight Service included affirmations I want to share with you. As our minister Rev Doug Werth lit each of the candles in the Advent wreath he had us repeat the following affirmations after him.
Affirmations:
Message of Faith:
“My Faith in God prepares me to expect blessings.”
Message of Peace:
“I am an instrument for Peace in the world.”
Message of Love: :”God’s unconditional Love flows through me to heal and transform my life.”
Message of Joy:
“I know the Joy of living, for the spirit of God fills me with gladness.”
Message of Christ:
“Christ is born anew in me. The Father and I are one.”
I wanted to share these affirmations with you as we prepare for the New Year. If we would bring peace, love and joy to the world we must become peace, love and joy.
We cannot change anyone else but we can change ourselves. And as we begin the new year with faith that allows us to expect blessings and experience peace. love and joy we allow the Christ energy to be born anew in us. Then we can truly say “The Father and I are one.”
May you have a joyous and blessed Christmas season and a New Year filled with many blessings.
